The past few days have been kinda busy in the sewing/sunroom. - elephant quilt.
This sweet elephant started out as a coloring book page. It will be returned to its rightful owner when these quilts are delivered. The elephant was pretty plain until he was surrounded by the hearts.
All ready to layer and quilt. Yea!
These sweet owls were seen in a picture and are now on the quilt top. 36 or so pieces later!! Also ready to layer and quilt.
Then there was the Minion panel.
I had this one all cut and ready to sew. Finished the top Sunday afternoon.
When I don't feel like I'm running on full steam I work on my own pieces rather than a customers order. I really like the yellow in this top. Pattern had called for a nearly white fabric-just didn't do anything for me. Pattern was freebie from Quilting Treasures.
The nest below was abandoned. It has hung over the garage door for weeks. It survived some very strong winds and lots of rain. It was under the eve but still with some of the storms here it is just amazing. Gods provision for these birds. The robins even got used to us coming and going and would stay on the nest while we were around.
May God Bless!.
